Chamber of Textile Engineers (TMO) is a professional organization of public institution quality, that exists within the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (UCTEA). People who have graduated and obtained diploma from Textile Engineering and Leather Engineering departments of Universities, gain the right to practice their profession and use their professional title within the boundaries of our country by becoming a member of Chamber of Textile Engineers and obtaining a register number.
Carries out necessary inspections and research for the textile industry to develop in a way suited to national and communal interests, increasing production, and for the development of the profession, and provides consultation,
Carries out technical and scientific research in the field of textile industry and provides this research to the benefit of its members and the industry,
Prepares and inspects all kinds of technical documents related to the Textile Engineering services such as norms, technical specifications, standard contracts, reports, and etc., and supervises the implementation of these,
Issues certificate of quality and certificate of competency to ensure that products of the textile industry are high quality, carries out interim audits,
Collaborates with organizations that provide Textile Engineering education, helps the training of Textile Engineers of intended quality and quantity, makes suggestions,
Trains the personnel required by the Textile industry by collaborating with related organizations and issues “Professional Competence Certificate”,
Records “Expertise Register Files” based upon qualification of its members and suggests them to requesting organization as an “Expert”,
In every sector in which its members operate, ensures that necessary measures are taken by conducting studies regarding workplace quality, minimum wage and standard of living, and etc.
In regards to the Textile Engineering services, publishes technical books, newspapers, magazines, and etc., collects documents, prepares standards, and expresses opinions about prepared standards.
Chamber of Textile Engineers South Region Branch, has started its operations in Gaziantep at 2020, in addition to its Branches is İzmir Merkez, İstanbul, Bursa, and Denizli. Chamber has also branches in Adana, Adıyaman, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Hakkâri, Hatay, Mersin, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Mardin, Siirt, Şanlıurfa, Van, Batman, Şırnak, Kilis, and Osmaniye, in addition to Gaziantep and the cities in which the branches are located are high activity cities for the Textile Industry in aspects of employment, production, exportation, and etc.
South Region Branch is a professional organization that has adopted the goals of elevating the perception of Textile Engineering in the industry and for the society, helping this profession to become one of the most wanted professions, developing the profession, employees, and the industry of the Textile-Garment Industry field which is one of the most important line of works when employment and exportation rates for the country are considered, developing the employees and the industry, and protecting its members rights.
